RACHEL ELNAUGH

Rachel Elnaugh is the entrepreneur who created the market leading experiences brand Red Letter Days at the age of 24 – which she grew from nothing, on a shoestring budget, into a £multi-million turnover household name. This won her an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2002 and she was shortlisted for the 2001 Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year Award along with Barbara Cassani, Jo Malone, Sly Bailey and Chey Garland.

Red Letter Days’ fall into administration in 2005, after the over-expansion of the business in 2002, gained huge media exposure…Rachel says: “Five years ago my first business Red Letter Days was forced into administration by Barclays Bank – even though we had £3.3 million cash at bank – after a 16 year journey creating the company from nothing more than an idea, on a shoestring budget which built into a £multi-million turnover market leading brand contributing c£13million to the coffers of UKplc in the years I ran it. I was left with no business, no income, a one week old baby, plus c£1million in personal debt. And, because I’d just been a Dragon on the very first series of BBCTV’s cult business show Dragons’ Den, the Press had a field day. It would have been so easy to roll over and die at that moment. Give up and stay under the duvet. But that’s not what entrepreneurs do.” Instead, Rachel chose to use her experiences in business to help other entrepreneurs on their journey – through speaking at business events, mentoring and advising about how to stay energised and positive even in the face of great adversity. Rachel wrote about her experiences in business in her 2007 book ‘Business Nightmares’ which has since become the handbook for business survival for many struggling entrepreneurs. Rachel has also given evidence to Parliament on the development of an Enterprise Culture in the UK and has both participated in and spoken at the All-Party Parliamentary Committee for Small Business.  Rachel is now Business Manager to the UK’s leading metaphysical author, teacher and visionary Barefoot Doctor, and is helping him mastermind ‘The Big Om’, the world’s biggest sound healing event.
FAY SHARPE

Fay Sharpe is the Managing Director – Sales and Marketing, and founder shareholder of Zibrant, the UK’s largest MICE agency with over 20 years experience working in the hotels, hospitality, event management and venue sourcing arena. Fay works on a strategic level with Zibrant’s blue chip client base advising and supporting them on their global MICE policy.

Fay brokered a multi-million deal in 2008 to join Motivcom PLC, making Zibrant part of the UK’s largest events, venue finding and incentive travel business in the sector.

Early in her career, Fay was awarded Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s Acorn Award and has won Lloyds TSB CBI’s First Woman of Tourism and Leisure award for her outstanding contribution to business. More recently, in 2011, Fay was recognised as the leading figurehead of the MICE industry by being ranked number one in Conference and Incentive Travel (C&IT) magazine’s Power 50 (the first women to do so) and winning Meetings and Incentive Travel (M&IT) magazine’s ‘Industry Personality of the Year’ award. In October 2011 she was also named as Boss of the Year in Executive PA magazine’s annual awards.

Always looking for a challenge and ever passionate to support charitable causes Fay has completed numerous CSR projects including the Three Peaks Challenge (twice!), Oxfam’s Trailwalker, a week-long charity house build in South Africa with client Barclays and led a team of 16 to complete the ‘Adventure Challenges, Wild UK’ in September this year in aid of the Prince’s Trust Charity.

Fay is also proud to have served for five years on the ITM Board where in her role as Chairman of their Meetings & Events Working Party she managed and edited the ITM / CIPS meetings and events tool kit; How to Guide to Procuring Meetings and Events.

        ANNE MARIE MORRIS

Anne Marie Morris has been the Member of Parliament for Newton Abbot since May 2010. Following her election, Anne Marie set up the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Micro Businesses. The group has quickly established itself as one of the largest and most active APPGs in Parliament and it published its first report in November 2011. Specifically, Anne Marie campaigns for simplified taxes for micro businesses, regulation exemption, finance support and increasing entrepreneurship and vocational teaching in schools. Before entering Parliament, Anne Marie had successful careers in law in London and Singapore, marketing and running her own small business consultancy – Manteion. Manteion was a sales and marketing advisory service that also provided executive coaching to businesses across a wide range of sectors. It was here that Anne Marie gained first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing the smallest businesses – both those of her own and others!

 

                   ISHREEN BRADLEY

Ishreen Bradley’s key strength is an ability to build rapport quickly, identify priorities and work with her clients to deliver results. She knows the questions to ask which enable people to articulate what they want to achieve and produce unprecedented business and personal performance.

As a young Executive at BT, Ishreen’s early experience included representing BT on European Digital Standards bodies, managing a change programme for a Division of 150 people and supporting joint venture projects between BT and its media clients on behalf of BT’s R&D organisation. Based on her reputation at BT, Ishreen was engaged by Cap Gemini to develop its Media Business and delivered £12mn sales during the first year of operation as well as a brand that positioned Cap Gemini as a serious supplier in the sector. She led strategy, process and e-business projects that enabled her clients to produce exceptional results and win industry awards.

Whilst working on Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s Transformational Consulting proposition, Ishreen developed an interest in people transformation. This interest led her to set up her own consulting practice, Bizas Coaching & Consulting. Working with her first client – a niche transformational consultancy, Ishreen enabled them to establish a business in the UK and managed the growth of their UK business over a period of 7 years.

She brings experience to her clients of having worked with a wide range of businesses from SME to organisations such as Sky, Standard Chartered Bank and Hermes.

Ishreen has an MBA from London Business School and is currently studying for a Masters in Coaching at Ashridge Business School.

She is passionate about enabling women to have a full life experience and have the freedom to choose and be satisfied with all elements of their work/life balance whilst being extraordinary executives at work.
